Amazon open box carseats?

Hey all! I'm new here so hopefully I have this in the right place. I'm looking at getting the Graco Headwise 70 or Size4Me 65. Amazon has an open box on the HW for much less than the regular price. Are these seats used or just have damaged/open boxes? Not sure if I should get the HW from Amazon or go to Kohls for the Size4Me 65. Are there any differences between the two seats that would make one better than the other? WDYT?? TIA! :)

The good news is that Amazon has free returns if you get it and decide you don't trust it. Most people here are ok with it, if it still has the tags attached. Personally it would be a judgment call, if the seat looked new, and the manual and tags were still in the box but cut off (as I know sometimes people cut off the tags and then figure out the seat doesn't work in their car) I would be ok with it. But you can order and see how it looks and return it if you don't trust it for whatever reason. It could be that the box got damaged somehow and the seat is brand new.

I bought an open box booster from amazon. Comment in the description said the box was damaged. When it arrived, all pieces were in the box, all manuals were attached, and the box had minimal damage. It looked like it had been opened and that's it.

Read the description. If it comes and something outside the description is wrong with it, you can return it, even if it doesn't qualify for free returns. Just make sure you're ok with whatever the description states.
