Age/size for backless booster?

Our dd is 7yo, 46", 50lbs. While I hope to keep her in a hbb in our primary vehicle, I was wondering if she's considered big enough to use a backless booster for travel-- would love to streamline our carry ons, but want to make sure she'll be safe in the rental car.

If she will stay in position and get a good belt fit then yes. I would try to take one with a shoulder adjuster strap to get a better shoulder belt fit if need be.

:yeahthat: we flew when DS was 6, don't remember exact size but smaller than your DD, we took a nbb for the same reason, and he fit really well in the captain's chair of our rented 2010 T&C, we didn't need the adjustor strap but in our sedan he still does (why he's in a hbb) and he's 4'2", I think if she understands the same rules apply in a nbb as a hbb she would be ok

Oh gosh, yes. Backless is fine in that situation.
