3 across in a CRV?

Question for some friends of mine:

2010 Honda CRV. They have a 5.5 and 8 yr old in Montery boosters, and are adopting a girl who is 2 yrs old and 20 lbs. They are open to RFing her. What will fit well? I figured a Radian would but wondered what else would be a good option. They are fine with buying a Radian though, budget is no issue, so suggest away.

Thanks in advance!

I have an 07 CRV that is the same body style as the 2010, but don't have firsthand experience with boosters yet. From what I have read about boosters, though, aren't the Montereys quite wide? If the older children could fit in a narrower booster it might be easier to fit three across. I believe the narrower boosters include the turbobooster and the parkway, plus there may be others that I don't know about, including backless if the oldest child is ready for that.

From my experience, the CRV backseat can fit three narrow seats, but isn't huge, so wouldn't be able to accommodate three wider seats. That said, I don't know how much wider that Monterey is over other boosters, and with a RN in there, it might work. The Complete Air is another narrow convertible, along with the Scenera, I think.

Montereys are wide at the top but not too much so at the base. I think a RFing Radian would fit okay in the center. They'd need to do a seatbelt install though since the center UAS is off-set toward the passenger side. Might be a touch tricky with the pull down shoulder belt but it's doable.

Thanks very much - I could pop out my Radian and try it in their CRV for fit & if it seems we have plenty of room, we can check out the CA and Scenera.

The oldest is not ready for a backless, she's very petite.
