My daughter is 26 months, ~36", 28 lbs. Currently we have her FF in a Graco Nautilus and are happy with that. My partner just got a second vehicle - it's a 4door pickup truck GMC Canyon. We're not sure what seat to get for it and don't want to spend too much on it (<$200/$250) as she will only be in that car occasionally (although she does prefer riding in the truck vs the car). We want to have more kids in the near future so having some transferability would be handy, but then we're not pregnant yet so it's not a certainty. We may also change the main car, 2003 Honda Accord, in the next year or two probably to something smaller so would want a seat that would fit a smaller car as well.
The seats we're considering so far:
- Lamaze True Fit
- Safety First Guide
- Evenflo Maestro
- another GN
I'm not considering the Britax Frontier because it's too pricey and the Diono Radian again too pricey and heavy.
Any advice? Or other seats to consider? Thanks!
Also we installed the GN into the truck on the weekend and the base didn't sit completely on the seat of the truck when in a reclined position FF, maybe an inch or two of the base was over the edge of the seat. Is that a big no-no? We could try it more upright and see if the seat base will fit better that way.
