Well, I ended up getting one of the defective frontier ct's I had read about. The squeeze buttons to open the seat were a little sticky when I pulled it out from the box... but I crossed my fingers and hoped it was just fluke. It installed great on the first try in my excursion. Moved it to my lincoln 2 days later. It was a little sticky again but installed easily. So today, a week later, I installed in grandpa's jeep and it installed great. Pulled it out to put back in the lincoln and it was a tad sticky but opened. Tried to install it and it wouldn't close. Messed around with it, making sure the latch straps were nice and tucked out of the way and after 3 attempts on my basement floor got it to close and now it will not open at all. The buttons are stuck tight. So tomorrow I get to call Britax again for my 4th time this month and get another seat... because my boulevard ct I bought July arrived broken(side panel) in the box! I'm only a little bit angry right now...
I love the install of the click tights so much. I've spent years installing seats with my 3 kids and because of what I have learned starting with Britax about child passenger safety, I am taking a cpst course in two weeks to become a tech for my local fire department. Britax has always been my number one favorite company. But I'm not sure what has happened with Britax quality since the release of the click tights!
Should I just request a refund if I'm likely to experience this problem again? I already have a frontier 85 and a pioneer 70 and while they have a harder install they have never given me any problems.
