I need a recommendation for an occasional-use seat for a light-weight 2 year old. My son is 28 mo old, and 34".
He rides is Granny's 2013 Buick Lacrosse a few times a week.
We need a seat that's easy to install and uninstall: Granny often carpools with her widow-friends so she'll keep the seat in the trunk. If it's going to be a latch install it needs to be good for the seat padding of the Buick. Installing our family seat in that car is a two-handed job on each latch.
My son's commute with Granny is in a retired/resort town. The downtown area is mostly one way streets, 25 mph or less, and the secondary roads are median divided 35-45mph. No highway miles.
I'd prefer rear facing but I'm open to a forward facing seat if that's the best install for the Buick.
Wish-list item: would really love a seat with harness buckles that don't flip around the straps, and a buckle that isn't forever sliding down underneath my son when he gets in the seat.
But an easy in-and-out reliably fitting seat for the Lacrosse is my first concern
Thanks so much,
JJ
