Love this forum, I've been coming here for help since my 7 year old was a tiny baby! I have three kids: 22 months (28lbs, 33", delayed, deaf, nonverbal, RF Fllo ), almost 4 (39lbs, 39.5", FF in a Britax Boulevard CT) and 7 year old (50lbs, 51", FF in Britax Frontier CT). They are in our 2007 Kia Sedona which has high mileage and is starting to cost more to maintain than a monthly payment on a new vehicle. So I'm looking at new vehicles - I'd love something big and wide, but it's not in the budget, so mid-size sedan or smaller SUV would be more likely. The 7 year old is very safety conscious and compliant in her Frontier, so I'm happy to move her up to a highback booster (she has autism and is hesitant about the move away from harness - she'll go for highback booster not backless), then moving the middle guy to the Frontier and the baby to the RF boulevard. I'd love to get rid of the Fllo - seat is hard as hell, can't get it reclined enough so head always hangs forward when he naps, and he can't tell me if he's good with that, also the bloody locking clips pop open RF and allow seatbelt to slide through FF, finally, belly pad comes off almost daily. Ugh, do not love the Fllo. I have the replacement locking clips, haven't switched them 'cause that doesn't address the other issues. This seat will be going either way.
Any 2016/2017 sedans or smaller SUVs that would accommodate a Frontier, Boulevard and maybe Parkway highback booster or narrower one if possible? I'm also happy to get a different narrower RF seat for the youngest, keep the almost-4 year old in the boulevard and move the Frontier to our other vehicle. Also, I should say, the almost-4 year old is grossly noncompliant with carseat safety and has a long torso, so he'll probably have to be harnessed as long as a Frontier can hold him - I don't anticipate that he's ever going to want to sit still and not fiddle with everything. Just picturing putting him in a seatbelt makes me just want to duct tape him to the hood and get it over with. Any seat combo ideas for a narrower seatback?
Thanks.
