Is the 50lb Evenflo Titan a good narrow RFing convertible choice?

I'm trying to figure out what do for our 2 door Chevy Cavalier once Naomi outgrows the SS1. She is a big girl, 19 or 20lbs now, and tall with a long torso. She's maybe 2 inches from the top of the SS1 shell now at 7 months old. I have a Parkway and a Radian for the other two girls and want to find a RFing convertible that will fit width wise and fit behind the passenger seat. My Britax convertible will absolutely NOT fit width wise. Is the Evenflo Titan narrow enough to work in a tight 3 across and does it have a tall enough shell to be a reasonable RFing choice for my tall girl?

You'd be best off w/another Radian, I think. The Titan isn't that wide, but it's not going to last nearly as long rf'ing as the other seats you have. Have you considered the new Cosco Air Protect (name???). It looks pretty narrow and it would give a lot of rf'ing time, plus it should leave a fairly small footprint from front to back b/c it doesn't need a base.

We have the Titan and have traveled with it. 2 adults in the back seat with the Titan behind the passengers seat.

It is not a very wide car seat... but it was wide enough to make the ride very uncomfortable for the 2 adults in the back.

I agree with the other poster, the Radian with probably be a better seat. I just ordered one for my son =)

It was a decision between that and the BLVD, and since the Radian is narrower and will last longer we decided to get it.

the titan is neither narrow nor tall. It absolutely isn't what you're looking for, sorry.
It CAN sometimes puzzle well, and by overlapping othr seats, fit decently into a tight 3-across, but it's still a very short seat, and absolutely the wrong choice for ERF, especially with a tall child...my boy, who is probably about the same size as your child, has not that much room left in his titan...he is just under 20 lbs and 30 inches tall.

I really want a lower cost option than the Radian. This is for our secondary car that the kids rarely ride in. How does the Titan compare to the Scenera for shell height? How tall are its top slots? Emily is small and I might be able to put her in a smaller seat and use the Radian I have RFing for Naomi if it can fit front to back and if I need to.

The Titan is fat and short. The Avenue is more sleek and has a much taller top shell and taller top harness.

The Titan is about the same shell height as the Scenera, and about 1 inch shorter than the Marathon. Sofi is 36 inches, and I think she has an average torso (3t shirt for nearly 3 years old). She has 2+ inches above her head in the Titan.

The Titan has 14-15 inch top slots. However, I've seen kids with a 12.5 inch torso outgrow it because of the fit of the vehicle and the seat and the child.

I know the Titan doesn't puzzle well with A FF Radian. It does puzzle nicely with a Parkway (it's easier for the kids to buckle next to the Titan than the Radian).

I probably need to go ahead and try my Radian RFing. I had assumed it wouldn't fit front to back, but I need to try it. If it works, then I'll need to decide whether I want to spend $200 for my best long term solution or compromise on my anger at Dorel and buy a Uptown/Avenue (my mom and I both have Tourivas with the notches purchased in 2005 and the company wouldn't so much as provide a discount coupon on a replacement).
