Monterey or Parkway SG

So now I am really confused....do I get a monterey (good deal) or wait for the parkway SG which is supposedly coming? DS is just 5 and 47 pounds but too big for his seat and too broad for the nauti. I also have a 12 month old so would like to get some use out of the monterey for him later on so if TJs has an old DOM I won't have that option as it will be expired by then.

If you are in need of a seat now I would get the Monterey.

The Monterey has a 6yr expiry so I would imagine that you won't get much use with it for your other child. Some but I would expect that you would need to buy another one before your kids are out of them completely.

Is one seat safer than the other I am curious too? Is the new slip guard really a lot safer or will the monterey be fine?

Both are safe is used correctly, and with a child that is both old enough (at least 5) and weighs enough (at least 40lbs).

There are things about the Monterey that I personally prefer over the [old] Parkway... and since the new Parkway seems to be quite similar to the old version (aside from SG feature) I would get a Monterey. :twocents:
