where can I get some pool noodle?

I know my infant seat will need a pool noodle or 2 to get it reclined enough from the last time we used it, but I have gotten rid of the pool noodles we used when we moved up to the Britax. Where can I get some more pool noodle sections in December?

I saw some at Toys R Us in the baby section. Probably cost more because they were made for carseats but they were the solid ones.

I had an instructor/State Patrol officer recommend using a rolled carpet scrap instead (taped closed so it doesn't unroll.

[He's someone I trust: He teaches the tech course (and in NEB, they team teach os they're all pretty up to date), has installed tons of seats AND seen 1st hand the results of misuse. ] He said that like a noodle, carpet won't compress very easily.

The "noodles" made specifically for carseats ARE pricey compared to the "regular" ones. Most carpet stores would GIVE you a piece big enough to do the trick.

I would totally post a wanted ad on your local Freecycle or local Craigslist. I'm sure someone would glady sell or just give you one.... I know we have several hanging out in our garage right now...:)

That would only work as long as it wasn't used. If it's been in the sun or chlorine, it's more likely to compress.

Rolled up carpet scraps are not approved, and I would strongly recommend it be removed should it come through a check I do.

I've looked all over for some noodles and there are none to be found this time of year. I've just given up and am using a rolled towel. I duct tape around towel shut so that it keeps it's round "noodle-like" shape.
