AWESOME!
I've been wondering...it's looking like the next babe is gonna get a Radian.....chances are we'll be able to use it for just about the entire 7 year period it is good for!!!!
(could you tell us the approix height/weight of the newborn in the pic?)

The baby is so cute (and so tiny)! That's great that she fits in the seat.

I had heard that the Radian could be used for 7 years, but in my manual (page 7), it says "Do not use restraint if it is older than six years. Manufacture date is on back of restraint."

Bummer.

That buckle is right in the middle of her belly. Is that less of a concern rear facing then it is forward facing? I know if she was forward facing and in an accident the buckle and belts over her belly could cause major internal bleeding/damage.

That's actually a concern that hasn't materialized in real-world crashes. The Evenflo Triumph has a very high crotch buckle; so does the Nania Airway (a forward-facing only seat). IIRC, the high buckle on the Airway was an advantage for some reason? It reduced loading on the chest or something like that? I wish I could remember for-sure!
