Booster seat "training"

In Sept. Sarah is going to start preschool 3 days a week. It is less then 2 miles from where I work. I work as a nanny watching my son plus 2 other kids. The parents I work for are getting a van so that we can do this, plus they have another baby that will be arriving in November. She had said she thought she had enough car seats so that I won't have to switch mine back and forth the problem is that Sarah has a long torso, about 14 inches and they "tallest" harness they have is an Eddie Bower AIO which I know she has outgrown because she outgrew her old one. So my question is this, should I let her ride in a booster seat for these rides, let her ride in a carseat that her shoulders are above the top harness slot, or switch my car seat a GN around 3 times a week. It will be installed in my car with a seat belt so a big pain in the butt, what would you do? Oh she will be 4 the beginning of December, and is about 35lbs.

At 3 years old and 35lbs, with no other choices for seats, I would absolutely switch the Nautilus back and forth- the seatbelt install shouldn't be that big a pitb, though... what problems do you have with installing it in your car?

I would find one of the BRU coupons that come around regularly and buy an Evenflo Chase. She won't be 4 years or 40 pounds, and she really should be in a harness.

I would purchase something cheap that she could stay harnessed in. I am sure others would have some good suggestions for that.

My 5 year old is 35 pounds and although she would sit still in a booster, I do not feel comfortable boostering her at that weight. Lucky for me the law in MO is that a child must be 40 pounds (regardless of age) before sitting in a booster. I am glad because 5 year old is my stepdaughter and I don't have to worry about her mom boostering just because she is going to Kindergarten!

I would suggest an evenflo chase if your child can still fit in it. They are clerancing Graco Nautilus' at targets right now, maybe you can find an awseome deal on another one? What about an APEX65?

I have a 4 1/2 year old who is 35-37 pounds and I won't even put him in a booster yet. He used for preschool carpool his Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe(like marathon) for carpool. It was left in the vehicle installed.

Are they only clearancing out the GN's in some Targets? I don't see it online.

I asked at my local target they said they were just clearancing out an "old" pattern and getting a new one. (They are keeping the pink, the neutral went clearance and they will be getting a new one in).

The price is not online since they will still carry it online.
