Would you let your 8 1/2 year old ride in a LBB in other people's cars? I am having trouble deciding what I want to do.
My oldest ds (stats are in my siggy) occasionally rides with others and I always put one of his HBB in the vehicle he will be riding in however sometimes it makes it difficult for the driver to see out the back window especially in a third row seat situation (SUV, not minivan). I am not sure that putting him in a LBB would change the fact that it might be difficult to see out the back window since he will still be sitting higher, but their won't be so much seat back and headrest to obstruct the view, I guess.
I generally have been of the opinion that especially when he isn't riding with me he should be in the seat that provides the most protection which with a HBB he gets the side impact protection. I also worry about vehicle seat headrest position when riding in a LBB.
I have been thinking about purchasing a LBB for certain occasions but am not sure which one. I am thinking I should try to get a narrow one as that has also been a problem at times fitting the HBB in next to other seats (although most of his friends only ride sporadically in their boosters anymore, if at all).
So I figured I would ask here to get some other thoughts! Thanks!
