What would you do?

At ds's tee ball practice last night (in NY state), a car pulled in next to us with 4 kids that I would guess ranged in age from 2 to 8 (two of them are younger than the kid on the tee ball team). There was only one backless booster in the car  I didn't want to be too obvious checking it out but the car was Chevy Lumina, probably late 90's, with a lap-only belt in the center. So, there was a two year old in a backless booster, a three or four year old in a lap-shoulder belt, a five or six year old in a lap-only belt and a girl that couldn't be more eight years old in the front seat.

I'm pretty shy and not at all confrontational but I cannot in good consience simply ignore this. The fact that these children are so poorly protected leads me to believe this woman is not going to be very open to suggestion. Practices are held adjacent to a NYS police barracks, although I don't know if anyone is there. What would you do?

You could ask the coaches to remind the parents of the state law and that all children should be transported to and from games appropriately restrained. Other than that, you could mention it to her directly, but I don't see that going over well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will slip some sort of card or pamphlet under the windshield wiper at the next practice. I also just signed up for a tech class to increase my confidence and credibility.
