Lower LATCH weight limits

AHHH, i looked through the manual for our 2006 Chevy HHR today and could not find any info on what the weight limit is for the lower LATCH. i also need to find the same info for our 2001 Windstar van.

We have an the Evenflo Traditions plus harness booster seat installed in the HHR and a Radian 65 in the van. My son is 2lb away from the 47lb limit on the Evenflow, and i am THINKING about getting him a True Fit (need to check his torso length and see if it's worth it)

i think both cars have a 45lb limit, right? if so i guess i now need to start installing with the belt :(

The weight limit for GM vehicles (which Chevy is) is 48 pounds. Ford has a 48 pound limit on its lower anchors, 60 pounds on the top tether anchor.

Top tethers are mandatory at all times in Canada regardless of what vehicle the seat is being used in. If the child is within the limits of the seat in use, that seat must ALWAYS be tethered regardless of whether the child is 45lbs or 62lbs. As such, there is no weight limit to be applied to the top tether anchor when providing recommendations to Canadian parents. Ff'ing harnessed seats must be top tethered period.
