They're not bottles of milk, they don't expire!

So, I had a change of heart and exchanged my BLVDs for True Fits. The stockperson brought out 2 TFs with with 2/08 DOMs. I asked if he had any with more recent DOMs, he brought out two others with 10/08 DOMs and I said, "Much better. That gives me a little more time with the seat." He responded with: "Like my boss says, they're not bottles of milk, they don't expire." I told him they did and the reasons why, but he didn't seem too affected by it. I was tempted to go back into the store and speak with his "boss" whoever that is, but I think they've had enough of me; I've purchased and returned 3 different seats in the past week. But, I'm upset that his boss is giving that info to his employees and possibly customers. Maybe I should call tomorrow?

If they don't expire, what does "the boss" think the expiration dates are for?

You could tell him "You're right, it's not at all like milk. I don't depend on milk to safeguard my child's life in a possibly fatal accident."

Uh yeah. What type of store was it? I'd like to say you should say something, but if it's a small place, you might want to be sure you're not going to return the true fits first!

Small place.. and DH lost the manual AND registration card for the Signo we returned! You're so right! Our car's going in for maintenance tomorrow morning and I don't want to install the new seats and leave them vulnerable to greasy mechanic's hands. They'll be toyed with tomorrow evening and tested out over the weekend. Maybe I can call on Tuesday..;)

Everyone knows plastic doesn't degrade. Try jumping onto one of those plastic lawn chairs after it sits on the back deck for even two summers!

We have some BV's way over above some of the bedding sets that have been sitting there for months, and I never get time to move them to the carseat aisle... I really am annoyed for whoever buys them (except that most of my buyers pick it for the cover, I really don't think they'll care if it's a year old by the time they get it :()

Annnyyyway...it just irks me that store people don't ever get one second or one slice of interest enough to read the manuals for the things they sell, and if there's any 'training' it's usually dead wrong
