Radian chest clip broke

I have Radians for my 2 yo twins. They are about 1.5 years old and the chest buckle broke on DD's 65. One of the prongs on the male part (where you squeeze to release) snapped right off! Of course I called and thankfully they are sending a new one free of charge, but it's going to take 5-7 business days to arrive. Since using a carseat without a chest buckle is unacceptable I went to Babies R Us and found a Graco chest buckle. I was able to install it ok, but I'm a little nervous. Do you think this is ok for temporary fix?

Although I didn't see any recalls on the skjp website, this just seems really odd. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Yep,. not long ago the same thing happened to us. It only took about 3 days to get the replacement clip.

As far as I know though - the Graco clip is NOT an approved clip for the Radian (though I believe the Britax one is).

Not sure if you have a Meijer store near you, but I think I heard somewhere that they sell the SKJP chest clips.

Maybe you could order an extra clip so you have a spare incase this happens again? I'm sorry that you have to deal with that, but unfortunately I've heard of this happening before.
