Nautilis, Malibu, and LATCH

Hello this is my first time posting so bear with me.
My 3 yr old was measured today and weighs 40.4 pounds and is 42 inches tall.
I've read my car manual ('03 Malibu) over and over and no where in there does it say a limit for using the lower anchors. I know the Nautilis itself says that once a child is 48 pounds you must use the seatbelt to install.
To be safe should I re-install my seat using the seatbelt and discontinue using the lower anchors?

yippee I'm excited! :D I feel that I get a much better install with LATCH than I do with the seat belt and the little seat belt lock (can't think of the name but it comes with the seat and is used to lock the belt).
