Pondering My Next Car Seat Moves

I have some more time, though won't be sure how much more till DS goes to his LATE LATE LATE 15 month appointment on the 8th to make these decisions, but before I approach DH on the subject I wanted to see what you guys think first. :p

I am going to need two new seats eventually. Sia is taken care of. At 15.7 pounds and 26 inches she is still riding in her SS1 comfortably and once she outgrows that we will move her to DS's Marathons in our cars, and the EFTA in Grandma's car. Right now DS uses the MA in DH's car and the EFTA in Grandma's car. My car he is in a Radian XT. He is RF in all of these seats.

Soooooo...what COULD I buy for DS to use after the MA and the EFTA for FF? I really like the idea (and DH the price tags) of buying two Nautilus and being done with it. But I wonder how much torso height and how long they would last DS in the harness mode? He is on the second (almost 3rd slots) RF in the MA and on the 3rd slots RF in the Radian. I was dead set on the Frontier, but honestly I don't like the quality. I work at Buy Buy Baby and have played with both seats quite a bit and really like the Nauti better. Then there is the whole Regent thing. Would scooping one up now be an option? We could do a Regent in my car, Nauti in DH's truck, and the Radian as a back up?

Sigh, so many choices.

DS is now almost 21 months and was 25lbs and 32 inches in Jan. He is heavier and taller now.

What do you all think?

If you're not liking the Frontier, don't get it. It's as simple as that. If you don't like it now, you won't like it once you buy it. It has approximately the same harness height as the Nautilus anyway.

I don't think the Regent is necessary, unless there are special needs. He's below 50th percentile for height, so I don't see any reason the other seats wouldn't get him to a good booster age.
