Will the Radian install well in my car?

I'm considering a Radian for Rachael when she outgrows her Evenflo Triumph, but would really like to know if it will install well in my car before ordering one. I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid with tether anchors installed but no latch. Does anyone have any experience installing a Radian in this kind of car? I would love to be able to see one in person, but I'm not optimistic. I live just north of Chattanooga, TN. I've checked all the local stores that I know of already.

Hmmmmm, I'm trying to think if I know anyone with a Dodge Intrepid to try mine in... (Sunshine Kids really should pay me to do this. LOL)

Have you tried calling SK and asking if there is a store close to you that sells them?

Soon to be widely available?!

Well, I'm a bit shocked and I hope I got correct information. I just talked to Sunshine Kids customer service and they told me to check with my local Target, Walmart, Babies R Us, and Toys R Us. The rep said they've recently shipped out a bunch of the Radian car seats to be carried in-store at these retailers. I questioned the rep to confirm, and she said "yes, there going to be carried in-store at these retailers." I still don't quite believe it, but I sure hope it's true.

Baby catalog you will want to call before ordering as well, i almost ordered but was told my another mom that they are actully out of stock and said will ship in 1-2 weeks, I have a 05 dodge intrepid and my radian should be here by the end of next week, if you want to wait that long... i'm not a CPST but can let you know if i can get a rock solid instal or not... i have latch, but a seat belt too, i would guess you need to use a locking clip with the seat bealt in the car right?? I usally need to in my intrepid b/c i don't like the locking mecinisum (sp?) that that car has... i prefer the belts that lock by pulling all the way out and retract locking (that's what my other car has)... maybe other can give some input on what cars it worked in and how as well... i'm praying that the radian will instal well in both my cars!!!

Becky,
It'd be great if you let me know how it works in your Intrepid. Mine does need locking clips on the side belts, but the center (where I plan to install in initially) is a lap only which isn't safe for passengers but is great for installing a car seat. I'm hoping Rachael will hold off on hitting 40 pounds for a few months so I'm not in a huge hurry.
