Frontier installation in Vibe/Matrix? was Re: Successful Britax Frontier Installation with lap-shoulder belt

Has anyone had luck installing this carseat, using the seat belt, in a Pontiac Vibe or Toyota Matrix? I have great luck with the LATCH system, but now need to use it for a child who weighs more than 40 lbs. I can't get it tight with the short belt path, and our seat belt isn't long enough for the long belt path. We are considering trying to get a longer seat belt, but wonder what others have done. I love the carseat and am frustrated with the installation now.

We have a 2003 Vibe. We use long belt path since we had the same problem with short belt being too loose. My DH has to use a lot of strength to compress it in enough for the belt to reach. I can't do it.
