It just means that the comfort pads for the harness are sewn at the sides instead of having a velcro opening to wrap them around the harness. Some of the older Marathon covers had velcro strap covers that you could easily put on or take off. The newer ones are sewn so the only way you can put the on the harness is to slide them on before attaching the harness to the adjuster strap.

Thanks Elizabeth! Both of my MAs have the old style pads...wish I had the new sewn pads when my kids were small!! It seemed like they were constantly pulling them off and throwing them
