Stroller for new twins and a toddler

This website is great and have been spending alot of time on here just reading and soaking it all in. Currently, we have a beautiful little girl who is now two and in Sept we are expecting twins. I think it might be nice if we had a stroller that allowed for all three in one stroller. But is there anyway we could use some of the items we already have from Emerson's birth. Current inventory; Chicco Cortina Stroller, 2 Joovy grooves(one is ours and one is the grandparents), also one really slick Backpack that I love, Deuter Kid Comfort II, we have one Chicco Keyfit 22lb baby carrier with 3 bases and Finally 3 Britax Marthon's(one in each of our cars and one that the grandparents have) We just went ahead and picked up a lightly used Double Baby Snap and Go from the local twins mother sale as my wife is now a member. The plan is to either get another Keyfit and use the double snap n go or pick up my cousins lightly used snugride with two bases. I figure one of these setups will be good for at least the first 6 months but if Emerson wants to ride then will just have to throw in either the Cortina or a Joovy or carry her in arms (25lbs currently) or the backpack. Stroller wise after doing lots of study looks like the Valco Baby Trimode twin with toddler seat would be a pretty good do everything stroller once the babies get just a little bigger but the price probably will be close to 700 bucks and my wife will probably have a problem with that but I am gone out of town somewhere between 3 and 4 days a week so she will be on her own and I think the convenience of having an all in one solution might help outweigh the cost. I also think you could look at the Joovy Big Caboose Double as we have loved our little Joovy groove. But I am not sure the Big Caboose would fit in the back of our MDX heck the Cortina takes have the space now. We are also considering going down the Mini-van path Honda or Toyota. So all those moms and dads that have gone down the toddler new twins path give me some advice. Thanks for reading. I forgot one other thing I am 6'1" and my wife is 5'1" so adjustable handle and weight could be a concern.

I love the Valco Twin and I have used it with the toddler seat also. I would start looking on Craigslist. I found mine for $100 for one that was less than two years old. It didn't come with the toddler seat but that is a minor expense in comparison to the stroller itself. It is not too heavy either. No worse in my opinion than some of the graco double strollers.

I have a Lexus 330 and the Valco Twin fits fine in the back even without taking off the wheels which have a quick release mechanism on all of them. The Valco can be used from birth because the seats fully recline. I put one of the snuggly things in the seat for my son and he fit fine. (He was five weeks early too.) I would also recommend buying the canopy for the toddler seat because the front seat isn't shaded by the main shades. I am 5' 1" and my husband is 6' 1" and we can both push the Valco with no problems. The handle is adjustable so even my two year old can push it if she takes a notion. (Of course she can't see over the stroller though ;) )

You can buy children trays, but they won't be able to be used when the toddler seat is in use. You may also want to consider a carrier for one baby and one baby and the toddler in the stroller because your daughter may not want to ride in the stroller for much longer. The Valco pushes great even when only one seat has a child or I had my 26 lb two year old and my 5 lb newborn son.

If you have any questions just pm me.
