New Seat...need help making a decision...

Hi there,
Let me start by saying, I'm a terrible decision maker. I hate to spend money unnecesarily. I currently have 2 Radians (the original 47? 48? pounds - can't remember). Anyways, personally I wouldn't purchase anything from this company again because of their lack of customer service. But I have them and they work fine so I will continue to. These are the only seats I have. I have two boys:
DS#1: 3 1/2 yrs old, 34# (gained 4 pounds this last year after being 30# for almost 2 yrs), 39"
DS#2: 17 months old, 27# (last time I weighed him which was a while ago), 31" in Nov, he's rearfacing in his Radian still and I think he can until 30 pounds.
We have 2 vehicles the car seats are in our main vehicle 99.9% of the time. On occastion one boy will go with hubby in his car then we just move over a seat, all family outtings we go in main vehicle. I can't help but think as our boys get older we will be doing more driving one here and one there in seperate vehicles and at the very least we should have one extra seat. I'm thinking of purchasing a Graco Naulitus to be DD#1's main seat and then use his Radian as our extra seat for our 2nd vehicle, when my aunt comes to take one for a play and for taking trips. We are flying 2x this year, once in March then again in May so I'm thinking we'd take the two Radians along, although they seem really heavy for travelling! We are renting a car in March so I want car seats as I don't trust the rental ones! Anyways...I've read lots of awesome reviews on the Naulitus, do you think this is the route that I should go...or should I wait? They are on sale now that is why I'm considering buying it now. Or is there another seat I should consider here in Canada. Thanks in advance

or...maybe I should buy a Scenera (since the new ones I think rear face to 35 pounds) and they sound lighter for travel and have the carry case.

I would get the Graco Nautilus over the Scenera for sure (although I'm not a big fan of the scenera, personally). Even though it is now rated to 35lbs the top harness slots from my understanding, are still only 14.5 (same as the older version). The Graco will convert to a booster after the harness is outgrown
(65lbs and the top harness slots are about 18"). There is also the Britax Frontier, this seat goes a lot higher in booster mode (this would be my pick over the GN) and you get a full nine years before it expires where as the GN only 6 years on the harness and high back booster... you get 9 years on the booster cushion though. If you are looking for an extra 5lbs of rfing room I would get the TruFit for the one child and use their Radian as the extra seat.

Don't let the weight of the Radians defer you from using them for travel. I have two, and I love them as travel seats. We put one in a carseat bag (although I think strapping it on to a luggage cart might work even better) and drag it behind us, and one of us wears the other one backpack style. My preference would be to take both backpack style, but until recently, one of us was wearing a child in an Ergo pack on the back.

The Radian fits well into airplane seats forward facing (I've never used it rearfacing on a plane). I like that it sits low enough on the airplane seat that the tray is still useful.

That said, I've heard great things about the Nautilus, and you may find that you would rather have the booster capabilities than rearfacing capabilities for this seat.

I think it's reasonable to assume you might need additional seats as the kkids get older. I know we have seats in each of our vehicles and it's very handy.

I would lean towars the Nautilus over the Scenera simply because it makes more longterm sense. Being $209 at sears right now is such a good deal, it's hard to pass up.

I'm no help with the travel question, we've never flown with the kids.
