Clek Oobr vs. SK Monterey

Can someone tell me the major differences between these two boosters that justify the $100 price difference? I believe the Oobr has Rigid Latch, and the Monterey has flex latch, is this correct? Are there other differences?
Thanks!!

The oobr has a magnesium frame. Magnesium is lighter than aluminum and more durable than plastic.

It's also designed more like an upholstered vehicle seat rather than a traditional booster.

It has a recline feature that can be used while the seat is installed.

It has a water-repellent fabric, so spills slide right off.

It also has better cover options, IMO.

Is that enough to justify a significantly higher price? I don't know; that's an individual preference. Also, since the oobr hasn't been released yet, we really don't know how it will compare in terms of fit, use, etc.

Also:

$100 in MSRP

It appears (based on info on here that the Oobr shoulder belt guides will run 20.5-21"), 1" in belt guide height (the Monterey specs show 22" from the back of the seat base to the bottom of the belt guide).

Adjustable width wings.

Availability. Monterey is readily available now, while the Oobr is apparently now May (revised from April, which was revised from February).

I'm struggling with this decision now too . . ..

.

But only handful of people here have montereys that go to 22 inches, most have ones that go to 20.5-21.

Also the latch on the monterey isn't just flexible it doesn't tighten all the way, when you use it you still have some give. If I pull the bottom straight out I would say it moves about an inch and a half and if I move one side only it moves about 3 inches. This would very depending on how deep the latch bars are in the vehicle.
