Question 3 across in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I have 2 children and we're expecting another in May. We've only had our Jeep for a year and DH doesn't want to sell/trade it in just yet.

DD is 5 years old, about 42 inches tall and weighs about 39-40lbs. She is currently 5 pt. harnessed in a Eddie Bauer Summit convertible/booster. We are willing to get rid of this seat. DD isn't very comfortable in it and she's almost to tall for it. I'm not comfortable putting her in a booster just yet.

DS will be 3 in a month, about 38 inches tall and weighs about 29-30lbs. He is in a Mossy Oak Marathon. I love this seat and do not want to get rid of it.

I have no idea what seat to get for the new baby or DD. I'm very open to using a convertible seat instead of an infant carrier for the new baby. I would love to get DD a new slimmer seat that is comfortable.

To keep the Marathon, you will need something very slim. I would probably do Radians for both kids, since they are very narrow. You might be able to get a Graco Nautilus, Marathon and Radian in there. Really, though the Radian is the slimmest and since your 5yr old is not huge, the Radian should work for awhile. You could then sell it to get a booster when the time comes. For three across, you are right to get all harnessed seats, since buckling a booster in three across situations can be tough.
