I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with leather seats. We have recently purchased a Frontier for my son. I wanted the Regent, but he wanted the Frontier because it was red. Anyway, I got a good deal on one at AAFES so we got it. He still fits into his Triumph with room to spare so I haven't bothered to show him the Frontier or install it. I love the Triumph and it makes him higher so he can see out the windows. I think the Frontier will sit lower than the Triumph.
If possible I would like to put it in the center position. I have a useless lap belt there otherwise (I have asked about a retrofit for a lap/shoulder belt and they have no such item). I have no TA there (no retrofit one for the center either I have checked), but my husband says he is willing to try installing an EZ On TA in the floor behind the seat. So far it looks like that will work assuming he can atucally get to the spot. We have a flat sheet of steel that is within the degree requirements for EZ On.
Anyway, are there any pitfalls of installing the Frontier that I should be aware of? Is it pretty easy?
Oh, and just for reference my son is 4, weighs 34 lbs, is 41" tall, and has a torso height of 14.5-14.75". Thanks!
