Dodge Intrepid 1999 teether status..

Does anyone know if the Dodge Intrepid 1999 has tether anchors installed already or do you have to go to the dealership to get installed. I am trying to help a friend figure it out.

Any help would be wonderful

I will check the LATCH manual later to confirm (don't have it handy right now) but I'm pretty sure the 99 does NOT have factory installed tether anchors. It wasn't required until 2000 and Chrysler is pretty bad about doing anything earlier than they're forced to. I'm almost positive you can get anchors retrofitted. The dealership will do it for free, but they might not know that LOL! I'll get the service bulletin and part numbers for you when I dig up my LATCH book, unless someone else has theirs handy and beats me to it.

MY93-99 Intrepid can have 3 anchors installed in the rear filler panel. Part# 14519077AB. Same part# for center and outboard. The dealership can refer to Technical Service Bulletin 23-008-00 for info about the free installations.
