Stroller for Peg Perego Infant Seat

Holy cow, I'm posting in the stroller forum - weird!

I have a client who is on a tight budget, but she got her "dream" carseat at her baby shower from a friend of her mother's - a Peg Perego. :)

Trouble is, she doesn't drive. She gets rides sometimes, but she also walks a lot, so a stroller is a necessity. She can't afford to get the Peg stroller, so I told her I'd ask here to see if anyone knows if any of the "generic" strollers will work with the Peg.

Is there any hope? She does have a back-up plan, but it's not ideal; someone gave her a Graco travel system, so she can use that for when she walks and just keep the Peg in her mother's vehicle. But she'd really prefer to just use the Peg and not have to switch back and forth, yk?

I tried to look in the manual and it didn't have a list. I am pretty sure it would work though. I have one but I don't have a peg carseat to try with it.

We have Peg Perego Primo Viaggio Infant seat as well and I actually bought a Peg Perego Pliko P3 off craigslist for $100.00 something for her to think about maybe?

My Pliko P3 was in GREAT condition

I was gonna say get a peg stroller off craigslist or albeebaby. If she rarely drives she is probably gonna want a full service stroller that can hold a lot.

A snap n go is nice, esp. the huge baskets....but she would have to follow it up. I think a P3 used or older year model off ebay or albee would be ideal.

Yeah, I second the Pliko Lite. I bought mine for $24. I bought another Peg at a garage sale for $10.

Heck, even an older Pliko (not the P3) will accept the PV...I already sold both of mine, but I know they do, and I've seen them come up on CL for between $40-80.

Actually practically any Peg stroller *should* accept it as well...if she's going to be doing ALOT of walking she might want to keep her eyes open on eBay for an Atlantico.

Actually I just found this one on eBay but it's a local-PU only that I actually could pick up & ship...

I got a PP Venezia on ebay with local pu for $25! I used it for a while and sold it on CL for $50. A P3 used would be awesome.

I agree with the used Peg rec. Also, depending on when she's due, she can keep an eye out for clearance models. The Pliko/P3 is a good all-round model, but if she's going to be doing a lot of outdoor walking, she may want something with larger, air-filled wheels, whether it's compatible with her carseat or not. "Joggers" can often be found practically new at garage sales--all those moms & dads who vow to run/walk off the baby pounds and... don't. ;)

If she's due soon, make sure she knows it's much easier to monitor baby's temperature in a sling inside mom's coat than in a carseat stuck on top of a stroller. When I lived in Germany (where they know walking), one usually saw the stroller used as a pack-horse, full of shopping bags, while mom or dad carried baby in a Didymos.

I always see peg stuff used for fairly cheap. But also on the peg website there is an overstock section, they sell older model "cheaper" stuff.
