car wreck question

i was just wondering if i would need to buy a new car seat... here are the facts...
i had a wreck today.
my little girl was not in the car.
her carseat was.
i was not going fast at all, maybe 30 at the most.
but my car, a 99 honda, was totalled.
do i need to buy a new one?
i know insurance would probably cover it.
