Where can I buy a "seatbelt" to make my lapbelt safe?

Maybe I worded that poorly LOL I have a lapbelt only in my Mazda MPV's last row middle. Occasionally I have to have my dd who is 9 and not in a booster anymore sit there. I know you can buy something?
TIA

There are harnesses which can be used with lapbelts, but unless you absolutely *must* use that seating position for a non-harnessed child seat, I think that would be more trouble than it's worth (you'd need a tether anchor in that position, too).

When you have your 9yo sit there, who is taking up the other seating positions, and in what kinds of seats? Lapbelts are really not good for anything but installing harnessed seats, in my opinion- neither adults nor children should use just a lap belt.

As the prevous post said, lapbelts are really ony ideal to install car seats.

YOu can also use a EZ ON Y 86 harness. This would be the only other alternative unless you couls move a carseat to that positon so she could use a lap shoulder belt.

Thank you for this posting. We own an 87 Buick LeSabre with lap belts only in the back seat along with a 95 Dodge Ram pickup without the extended cab that has a lapbelt in the middle seat. My daughter is getting too tall for the 5 point restraint up to 40 lbs. So, I plan to check this out instead of buying a newer vehicle(s) just because the need for shoulder belt restraints in the back seat. Thanks for this posting.

There are also larger/higher weight harnessed seats that can be easier to use properly on littler kids, like the Graco Nautilus, that might work in your cars
