The belt on my Britax MA is starting to fray and it is extreamly hard to pull to tighten and losen. (Its the peice of belt between the legs that pulls to tighten Iam talking about ;) )
Its only about 13-14 months old :( Is this a saftey issue? Anyone ever have this problem? What would you do??

Call Britax and they'll send you a replacement adjuster strap - just tell them your "harness adjuster strap" is fraying. You're not the first one this has happened to - there was actually a thread fairly recently about it. Britax will replace any harness adjuster strap that frays before the 6yr expiry date of the seat has passed - it's not limited to the 1yr warranty period.

If you have any difficulty with Britax, you can contact TC. Barb Baines has had communications with them regarding this and Britax has indicated they will provide replacements to anyone who requests them. You will need the model #, serial #, and date of manufacture of your seat when you call though.

What Trudy said. One of mine did that, and Britax replaced it out of waranty.

Is the fraying along the sides of the strap? Sometimes if you pull towards the side while tightening it can fray quicker. Make sure you're pulling it straight once you get the replacement.
