I'm posting on behalf of a friend (also here in Canada) who is looking for new booster for her 50 lb+, 47" tall 5.5 yr old. She drives a recent model Toyota Sienna minivan. She's looking to keep the cost low. She'll spend up to $100 if that's what she has to, but would prefer less. She found a Graco MyCargo at Canadian Tire for around $40. I seem to remember the Cargos not being recommended in booster mode, so I told her I'd check here to see what suggestions people have.
What are the relevant advantages/disadvantages to the Compass (505) booster available at Zellers versus the TurboBooster. I've seen the Compass on sale for about $80. The TB is usually a little cheaper. Any other boosters available in Canada that would be recommended? I thought of the Monterey, but it's not here yet, and when it does get here, it will be above her price point anyway.
