We're taking a trip up to the mountains this weekend and will be driving on the interstate. I would love to take my car, (94 ford taurus) but the last time we took it, as soon as we got back to town that night it randomly shut down. The incident kind of scared me, although we were in town had we been on the interstate it could have been bad.
Anyways, we're planning on taking DH's F150 this time, the thing is it only has the 3 front seats. Is it safe to put DD in the middle? She has a Britax Marathon.
Also, can we put her rear facing? I know you are not supposed to because of airbag hazards, but the truck has a little key that you slide into a slot and can turn the airbag into an "off" position. Would you recommend doing that, and if so, can we put her rearfacing?
Thanks in advance.
