Safe Stop Radian Help

My son just turned FF, and I connected the Safe Stop, but I did something wrong because the harness straps are totally loose.
I don't remember where I put the manual after the last time I traveled, and it refuses to download from SKJP. Half of it goes, and then it stops. I need to install it in a rented car tomorrow, as we're going away for the weekend. Would someoned be able to post the manual here, or at least the directions of how the straps should be in addition to the Safe Stop. (This was the first time I removed the cover for washing, and it's possible that the straps aren't right, although to me it looks fine.)

Thanks so much,
Ana

Did you tighten the straps after you put the safe stop on? The safe stop is going to add 8 or so inches to the harness length so even if it was tight on your son before, it will be loose now. Also, don't forget to make sure the straps are coming out from the slot above his shoulders now. :)

Did you remember to raise the straps up when you turned him FF as well? As the PP said, you need to re-tighten the straps after adding the safestop.

I tried to tighten it, but it doesn't tighten too much, there is a ton of slack.
I think I might have pulled the harness through the wrong slots somewhere on the car sea after reattaching the cover.

Try this: uninstall the seat, tighten the harness the whole way, the reinstall the seat. If I don't tighten the harness before I install the seat with safestop, then the safestop gets stuck under the seat and the harness doesn't want to tighten.

Thanks everyone!

I figured it out. the crotch strap wasn't in straight, I fixed it, and it tightens.

Have a great day!
