There are some topics that pop up here often. I know you've done the "Pregnancy Related" prefix, to save some folks some grief, but I'm in the mood to babble some more.
Right now, there are a bunch of threads discussing cloth diapering. What if we had--like a "Cloth Diapering Mega Thread" that was just for CD'ing discussing. Maybe the first posts in the thread could have definitions and a "so you're new to this" stuff. That was sorta stickied near the top, or something.
And the same for some other parenting topics?
Like a "Due Dates/Other Pregnancy related stuff" thread.
And like Keri suggested on the SCM, "a child loss support thread".
And maybe a "weekly this is the thing in the news (plastics, wooden trains, bottles, sunscreen) we freak out about, because OH NO! IT'S BAD"
It's not the same as a whole other forum, but it might help contain the stuff, and the threads would be sort of...on topic...only. So any tangents would go off into...the CMC, or the SMC? I don't know.
I'm just repeating what's already been suggested, aren't I?
Perhaps have duplicate threads for the CMC and the SMC?
Or do none of the above, and leave it the way it is. Yeah?
