Any other options???

I am so dissapointed to read the review of the Radian in a Suburban. I have a '97, and do daycare. Due to the number of seats I have in my vehicle, I was hoping to find a narrower seat that harnessed beyond 40lbs. The Radian seemed like the perfect seat. I need to find something that will harness beyond 40lbs that will fit in my 3rd row. I have 3 seats currently back there...a Graco BPB, a Cosco Scenera and an Evenflo Tribute. My problem is a 2.5yr old who will likely be growing too tall for the Tribute in another 3-4 months (he actually has more room height wise in the Tribute then the Scenera due to the angle the seat installs). He's currently 35lbs. I already have a 3.5yr old in the BPB, even though I'd prefer to have him harnessed. But he's 41lbs. If we take long trips, I do put him in a MA, as I don't usually take long trips with a full crew and can usually rearrange seats to allow him to use it. But on a day to day basis, it just doesn't work out.

I have an Evenflo harnessed booster that will fit the 2.5yr old well, but it doesn't fit in my 3rd row with the other 2 seats. It'll be fine for using if/when we take field trips, as I likely won't go on a day when I have all 6 six kids. Do I have ANY options for day to day usage besides another BPB???? It's usually only a few miles each day, and no napping.

The Ride Safer Travel Vest is an option for that kind of situation ... best to use in middle seats since it offers no side impact protection, but maybe with just 1 in the middle you could fit also fit the new Fisher Price Safe Voyage convertibles on the sides (they have high harness slots & 55# weight limit) :) I'm thinking we'll use 1 between a Husky & FPSV in my 3rd row so that boostered kiddo can sit in the middle row where I can better keep my eye on whether or not kiddo is sitting still properly!

Moved from reviews forum.

Sorry...it was actually supposed to be a response to the Radian review thread...but it never appeared. I guess it ended up it's own thread, and then you moved it here.

I'll copy my original response to the proper place.
