Bolero/Generations Question

Hello!

I've been scouring this board for the past week trying to figure out what to do for my 3yo who is outgrowing her Summit on our second car (and the Alpha Omega in the grandparents car) bcs of the whole "can't use the top slots for harnessing" infuriating issue...

Anyways, I've pretty much settled on the Evenflo Bolero/Generations, since it sounds like it makes a good bpb, and I won't have to buy another seat when she hits 40 lbs. However, I do have one question before I commit...

I saw a few threads from earlier this year where some people say they recommend the Bolero/Generations only for cars with high seatbacks/headrests... But then there are numerous other threads that don't mention this at all. I see that the Apex has the issue that needs the headrests, but is this the case with the Bolero/Generations???

Thanks for your help!

Yes this was an issue that has been cleared up. After some time on the phone and in emails with the people at evenflo it was stated that the manual had a mistake and you did not need the headrests like it said. Im not the one who did the research but I followed the thread on another board.

The apex definitely does though, it has an extremely flimsy headrest that offers little to no support.

Thanks so much for your reply... I'm so relieved! I was about to go crazy if I had to go back to the drawing board with this... It took long enough to make this first decision.
