Avoiding head slump (new seat?)

I just got a Nauti for my 4.5 year old son. He is on the next to highest slot in the harness. He loves the seat, esp the cup holder and cubbies!;) Only problem is that he is still a car sleeper and his head slumps forward quite a bit. It really bothers me (although him, not as much).
So, is there any thing to help with this (pillow, etc)? And/or would a different seat be any better?
I tried sitting him in a Regent at BRU and, while it was nice and he had more harness room, he said it seemed like a "baby seat" and asked repeatedly "where would I put my cup?" LOL Also, that is a BIG seat for my car...the backseat is already pretty full (also have a SS1 back there).
I dont know about the Frontier. I have read here it is a tough install for my car (2002 Escape) and that it has slump issues with some kids too. Have also heard that the harness is the same or maybe a bit lower than the Nauti.
TIA for any advice!

I have a 4 yo with the same problem. Major forward head slumpage. I have and love the Nauti for my 6 yo, but it didn't work at all for the 4 yo. I'm just gonna go with a convertible (True Fit) for now, and deal with something else in another year or two when/if she stops being such a car sleeper. I read too many things about the Frontier that don't even make me want to try it- install issues, possible head slump, twisty straps, etc. I also think the Regent is overkill, so that left me with choosing a convertible. What about the Radian? It's very low profile, looks more big kid than any other convertible IMO.

did you put it in max recline?

Recline your vehicle seat a notch or two?

That's what helped with us... and she didnt' do it much to begin with.

Her head slumped more in the Radian, anyway.

But the Regent... omg... she couldn't sleep in it... she's so slim it swallowed her whole.

You could try one of those kid size neck pillows on backward...so it's under his chin, rather than behind his neck. He might not tolerate it though. But at 4, I imagine he's more than capable of telling you if he doesn't like it...and if he's not complaining about it...let it go.

I use the Nautilus with a 2.5-year-old who definitely still falls asleep in the car. :p I haven't seen a head slump problem with her yet. I do have the seat in full recline, though. Perhaps that makes a difference?

Thanks everyone for the comments. I just installed it again in full recline and also reclined my seat back one notch. We will see if that helps.

I hope that works for you. Mine was in full recline as well, with the van seat a bit reclined, and we still had major forward head slumpage. Not sure why. Trust me, I tried like heck to make that seat work because like I said, I have and love it for my older dd.
