Cosco Scenera crash test ratings?

I need to know how good are this car seats?

Carseat manufacturers don't disclose their internal crash test results other than the occasional blurb they release for marketing purposes on their respective websites or in their advertisements. The manufacturers basically certify that the carseats meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) as the seat models are tested and brought to market, and all carseats on the market have met the same standards, including the Scenera. That said, I do suggest you check out this recent thread regarding Sceneras with issues with snagged/torn harnesses: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=48028

Based on that thread's info., I recommend you look for one with the newer, thicker harness if you're intending to purchase a Scenera at all, or to contact the manufacturer for a replacement harness if you already own one and see any sign of the harness snagging or potentially snagging. :twocents:

I'd also like to point out that the Scenera doesn't have EPS foam. It still passes standards without it but a lot of people prefer to get seats that have it. It's a great seat for the price but you could also consider the Safety 1st Uptown.
