I need an infant seat quick. Baby is due in 3 days!!!!!!! IF I don't get one by then I can put her in my extra car seat- a marathon. I realy waited to the last minute I know but I have been researching all this time but can't seem to decide between three seats. First off higher weight limits and height is not an issue for me because my two year old is only about 24 lbs and 33 inches. I do know that I want an infant seat with side impact protection-since it will be placed by a car door. So far I have been researching and reay interested in the Compass, Graco Safe Seat, and the Britax Companion( I love that rebound bar). The only things keeping me from ordering the companion is I haven't seen it in person and I hear a lot of complaints. I haven't seen the compass in person either and I can't very many reviews for it even on here. My biggest concern is safety especialy since this seat is going to be by a door. I don't nessaseraly need one that is easy to install. I have been to a tech twice with our son and plan on going with the new seat as well so I will know how to properly install it. Thank you

Do you live in a very hot or very cold area? If so, I'd get the Safe Seat because even if you don't carry baby in it, the seat can be kept in a more neutral temp  But, if you already have a Marathon, it's higher limits might not be necessary.... Sorry, I'm not much more help -- hopefully someone else has more info for you :) Can you share the year/make/model of your vehicle(s)?

I would go with the campanion. Its the only infant seat I would use. I really like the rebound bar. I have installed it and used it a few times with my friends baby. Her 14mnth old also fit in it! He was 21lbs.

That one has the best SIP I think, the babies head is in the inflatable headrest so it won't move much in a crash.

My second favorite is the new Graco Safe Seat. I played with it at BRU and really liked it.
