Question about Alpha Elite

This week, we had a local Tech (Police Officer) isntall (2) alpha elites in DH's 04 Silverado Extended Cab (they were previously on my truck)
The base of the seat (pretty deep) is sticking out of the front of the bench about 1 inch. I asked him (more than once) if that was OK, as I know it is not OK in the GNs that we just got. He said it was fine.

Is he right? I couldn't find the manual of the AE on line (have to look for it at home too) and the CAR manual did not mention anything about that subject.

Can you help me?

He is correct. At long as 80% of the car seat base is touching the vechicle seat it is fine.

Graco does not allow the Nuatilus to have any overhang though. I do not know thier reasoning for this. They are the only ones I am aware of that have the no overhang rule. Just for that seat.
