cracked EPS foam

I had posted a couple weeks ago that I inherited a 2002 Advantage from my SIL.
The car seat has never been in an accident, (and has been in storage for about a year at her house.)
I was giving it a good 'once-over' before putting it in the car when I noticed that the EPS foam is cracked on one side - in the shoulder area.
The EPS in the sliding headrest portion is all intact, and it actually partially covers the side portion where the crack is.
Do I need to worry about this & replace it, or is it still safe to use?

Well.....I called.

They said that because the Advantage is a discontinued seat they no longer have the foam for it. :-(

But, he said that since it is just cracked and there are no "chunks" missing, that we can tape it -(Good old Duct Tape - LOL!)-
and that it ".....doesn't affect the safety or integrity of the seat......" (to quote William at Britax)
