uh oh. i promised my friend that i'd watch their son for a few days in the summer (not every week just a 2-3days total0. & while its easier carseat wise to not go anywhere i was hoping for perhaps a park day or of course a what do i do in an emergency.

so here's the trouble. i need to fit 5 kids in my van. van is old. has capt chairs with tether anchors in middle row & bench seat in 3rd row (no tethers & NO headrests

the kids & stats & seat choices are as follows:

9yo boy i'm watching. quite a big guy & fits beautifully in capt chair

DS#1 9yo in HBB monterey or turbo

DS#2 almost 8yo in HBB turbo

DD 4yo regent 42lbs (requires tether) & apex ( BTW doesn't fit FPSVD)

DS#3 will be 2 by then. 30lbs & 35in? RF in intera, scenera & FPSVD

i tried to put the scenera RF in 3rd row between the HBB but it was a NO GO. even if i could instlal it there would be no way DSs can buckle.

so i'm thinking someone up front. who should it be? DD in apex (rather than regent) cause she is older. OR

DS#3 FF (there is an airbag that i can't turn off) OR

one of the booster kids up front

OR what otehr option do i have?

I would put the 4 year old in the apex in front. You want the heaviest, FF, harnessed child up front because they are the most protected.

ETA: You should also move the seat all the way back to minimize the contact that he could have with the airbag.
