please help child w/ special need

My daughter is scheduled to have a shoulder surgery due to a brachial plexus (birth injury) in a couple of weeks. She is 2 1/2yrs. but only weighs 24lbs. She will be in a cast and then a brace for 12 weeks that will have her in a "statue of liberty" position. I am searching for a car seat/booster that will allow space for her arm position but will be safe. please help.

I wonder if a Britax Regent would work for her. It's a large, wide seat and since she's small, she might have a lot of room in it. You can find it in a baby specialty store or by contacting Britax to find a local retailer who carries it.

I wonder how a rearfacing seat would work? It would take some weight off her to be reclined. The scenera is pretty wide, but I dont know the exact deminsions her arms will be so dont know if she would fit, but it would be a cheap temporary seat and rearfacing would be very beneficial for her.
