My first-born will be 4 in exactly 2 weeks and I'd hoped he'd make it to 4 RF, but no such luck. We weighed him yesterday with his clothes on and the scale read 34 POUNDS  So of course I had to rip out his and his sister's seats to rearrange them in the van and turn him around.

My baby is growing up too fast :( Guess I need to update my signature now.

I just turned my son as well. He is only 2 and 7 months. But he weighs anywhere between 31 and 32.5 lbs and that is just too close IMO.

We went ahead and bought him a Nautilus. I like it because he can cross his legs in it and sleep comfortably where as he couldnt in the MA FFing.

wow, you were able to make it pretty far RF. DD is 30lbs and still RFing, she seems to have been stuck at 30 lbs forever, I am pretty sure we will make it to 3 RFing, I hope she can stay RFing longer though.

That's great he RF for so long. I'm hoping DD2 will make it to age 3 (her birthday is about two months away), but it depends on how soon she gains the last 2 lbs. to reach 35 lbs. She's more active outdoors now that spring is here so maybe that will forestall FF a few more months.

Ya for you! Almost RF until 4 is awesome! :2thumbsup:

Funny how we call it "the day". Other parents view it as a milestone......"Happy 1st b-day, in your BIG KID seat!" :)

The rest of us are like.........*sigh "We're getting close to the ___lb FF mark, I was hoping we could make it to __ years." :crying:

My DS (20months) has been holding steady at 28-29lbs for about four months! ;) He just grew 1 1/2inches though! I measured him yesterday 36"! Hopefully we can get to 2 maybe 2.5 RF!

Congrats! that is awseome! Making it to almost 4 is WONDERFUL!

I plan to turn back my son RF this week(he is 3 years almost 4 months) when I hopefully get my huskies. He will go in the radian. It RF to 35 pounds and he is only 29(went back down from 31 pounds). The rate he is going 35 pounds will last him to 4 I think

What cuties you have!!

Thanks!!!

I realize that I need to go fashion a pool noodle footrest since he's already complaining that he doesn't like his legs dangling. Proof that RF is MORE comfy for most kids...hahaha!!! And to think that he was FF at age 1 and turned back to RF at 2.5yrs without a single complaint. It's like he never remembers being FF...to him it's a whole new world riding FF. He was so excited he told his teachers and all the kids in his preschool class (most of whom are all ready in boosters) this morning that he's riding "forwards now!"

wow. You made it long! Nice! Little man...
I weighed my son and he was 29.5lbs and my Radian (am in Canada) has a 30lb weight limit so I had to turn him FFing at 2 years 10 days. What scares me is what if he flucuates and goes down a bit? At least I know he is safe cause the seat is installed tight and he is harnessed.
good job on making it that long!
