Which SUV is safer?

I am a nanny and the family I work is expecting their second!!!

So my husband and I will be purchasing a new vehicle that is safer for child passengers. Right now we have a Nissan Sentra and my little Myers's feet are almost touching the back of my seat. We are trying to decide between the 2008 Saturn VUE and the 2008 Ford Edge. Any recommendations? Myers is two yrs. and the baby will be here in Oct. so we have time to decide, thank goodness

I will pick the Ford Edge even though I owned a 08 Saturn VUE because the Edge is roomier inside considering you have a 2yr old and a baby coming.
