My teacher is wanting me to watch her two boys a few days a week this summer. They are 3 (almost 4) and 6. I've never met them so I don't know their weight and height stats. She wants us to go out and do fun stuff, and I know she's got her 6 year old in a booster in her car and I convinced her to get a Nautilus for her 3 year old who was outgrowing his RA.
The 3 year old can ride in my FPSVD...should I consider trying to get an EH seat for the 6 year old or is it okay (generally, I know it depends on maturity and size) for a 6 year old to be in a high back booster? I've always thought so, but then again I've always watched young kids and never had to deal with the booster issue. I'll splurge on the Nautilus if I have to, or see if anyone has a Regent in the Swap. I'll give him the 5 step test, but I just wish I knew ahead of time what type of seat is most appropriate. I really will be pushing it to buy another seat now, but I want him to be safe in my car.
