Which will keep her harnessed longer?

I'm deciding between the Frontier, Nautilus and Regent for my now almost 4 year old DD.

I've heard that the Frontier has a higher harnessing weight, but lower harness slots than either of these...is that true? If so, isn't that a tad odd?

Which would you choose, and why?

I'm liking the looks of the TSIP of the Frontier, since she'll be outboard in a captain's chair, but am not so crazy about spending the extra $$$ if it's really that much shorter in harness height than the Nautilus.

We need to decide ASAP - DS2 needs DD's Radian.

TIA.

Personally I would go with the Regent. As long as you have a vehicle that is compatible and don't have to switch the seat from car to car a lot.

I second the Regent. If you do have to move it from car to car its not as practical and I'd go with one of the other ones.

It is kind of odd that the Frontier has lower top slots yet an 80 pound weight limit, but so does the Radian 80 which harnesses to 80 pounds yet has the same top slot height as the Radian 65. Who knows why?? ;)

Deciding between the Nautilus and Frontier will just be a personal choice. The Frontier has a higher weight limit, but remember not as high top slots as the Regent. It LATCHes in booster mode which can be convienent and has TSIP. However it is more expensive. The Nautilus has some pros as well since it is cheaper and turns into a LBB which the Frontier does not. And the Frontier has a 9 year life as opposed to 6 yrs with the GN.

Really, it comes down to personal choice. If its compatible, the Regent will harness the longest, but the other two will still likely get you to 7 or 8 harnessed if you have an average sized child which should be more than old enough to go to a dedicated booster. HTH

You said you need to decide ASAP, so I'm assuming you need a seat right away. For that reason, I wouldn't count on the Frontier. Yes they can be preordered, and yes people have actually seen them, but who knows what might happen.

It's not that big of a hurry - we for sure need the seat before July. But DS2 still fits in the SS1 though he's getting a bit uncomfy in it now that he's one. I'd just like to put him in the Radian soon and get DD something else.

Anyone else? Any other recommendations?

What about the fact that only the Frontier has TSIP? Would that be a factor for you in deciding?
