Aack! Toddler loosening MA harness

DD#2 (who is 2.5) has figured out how to loosen the harness on her Marathon. I don't know if the adjuster has changed at all over the years; this seat is from 2005. It's the one where you just flip up the lever on the front of the seat and pull out the harness straps. She's figured out that she can pull up the lever and lean forward to loosen her harness straps. Obviously, I'll continue to work on reasoning with/bribing/sternly warning her, but in the meantime, is there any mechanical way to stop this from happening?

We thought about shoving the strap end under the seatbase to prevent it from loosening, but we adjust the harness often enough that I'm not sure it will work.

I can't imagine that we're the first people with this problem. Any ideas?

TIA

yeah, call and ask for the training tool. For now, you can stitch the flap closed. That's how the new covers are- there's just a slit for access to the harness adjuster.

I used that training tool, but my husband broke it because he pulled too hard. Then he found another solution: pull the excess strap down and to the side of the MA, so it's wedged between the MA and the vehicle seat. My son isn't able to pull it up at all, and even if he could, the thick part at the end of the strap keeps it from being pulled up all the way. I have to pull it up from the side of the MA, if that makes any sense. It's been working great!

ETA: Oops, this will only work for RF. I forgot that some 2.5-year-olds might be FF! (My son isn't 2 yet.)

We broke both of ours too! They sent us new ones, but we haven't needed them yet. DD doesn't play with it anymore, but we're keeping them just in case.

Excellent, thank you! I will order it tomorrow. Even if it does break eventually, it may buy us some time until she gets a little older and "gets it".

(Pastrygirl, she's a big kid and is FF. I thought about wedging it, but don't see a really good place to do that in either of our cars.)
